Laura Taylor is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Affiliated Dermatology. She cares for patients at the Dublin office and Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She received her Bachelor of Science nursing degree from Wright State University in Dayton and has over 15 years of nursing experience. She started her nursing career in a coronary intensive care unit caring for critical patients. She furthered her experience in a level II trauma/emergency department and then in the PACU overseeing patients recovering from anesthesia. Continually working to advance her knowledge, she has always wanted to pursue an advanced nursing degree and obtained her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Cincinnati.   

Laura completed her dermatology training under Dr. Kockentiet before becoming a provider herself and is committed to staying up to date on dermatology research and best practices. She is currently a member of the Achieve program through Diversity in Dermatology. Her other memberships include the Dermatology Nurses Association, the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 

While she enjoys many aspects of dermatology, she has a special interest in acne, skin exams, and treating/preventing skin cancer. Laura is passionate about helping her patients achieve their skin health goals and collaborates with them to individualize their overall care.
